I want to play the prediction game.
I have just finished watching the final performance night of American Idol Season 7. And this I shall say:
David Archuleta is the 7th American Idol.
My vibrations tell me that this boy will take home the title this season. I just have this "gut feel" of some sort... Hmmm...
I just hope that this "gut feel" is wrong.
I want David Cook to win! He deserves the title! He deserves to be the next American Idol. I mean, with all the things he have shown all throughout this season, he truly "owned" the competition this season. He definitely SHOULD win!
But then...
Everything that have happened in the past will be overshadowed by this last set of performances. Such night will be the defining moment of the season so it is very very very crucial.
And based from the events that have transpired,
David Archuletta outshone David Cook.
Waaaahhh! I really really hope that I am wrong! Waaaaahhh!
Summary of events based on what I have seen:
- Round 1: Archuleta triumphs over Cook with "Don't Let The Sun Go Down on Me"
- Round 2: Cook tramples down Archuleta with "Dream Big" *I disagree with Simon! Archuleta's performance was too predictable*
- Round 3: Archuleta becomes the 7th American Idol with "Imagine". *David Cook's song was, should I say, too subtle for the intensity and level of the competition. It would have been better to have sung that piece in the earlier parts of the competition. IMHO, it did not leave much of a mark that would make people vote. I did not feel any spark from it...*
Well, we all just have to wait and see! Waaahhh!!! I really hope that this "gut feel" of mine is a sham! Haha!
