I know it is a bit late for this, but I'd still do it anyway. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there! Thank you for everything. Though we know that words cannot sufficiently express our deepest gratitudes for you, we would like to take this opportunity to make you feel really really special for us. Happy Mother's Day, Mom! You are the best Mom for me and my brothers! That fact will never ever change!
**************** Since today is a special day for our Mom, we treated her to a scrumptuous lunch at TGI Friday's. Uhmmm...Correct that. Our Dad, treated my Mom, me and my brothers at TGI Friday's. *He was the one who shouldered all the expenses for such treat. Haha!* I really enjoyed the food! So yummy! Haha! Suprisingly though, I did not order the second to the most expensive meal this time. *Usually, my Dad orders the most expensive meal for these occassions and I always come second because of my voraciousness.* I just opted for some pasta because I was craving for this type of food for some time already. Yong, my younger brother ordered the second most expensive food which was a whole slab of baby back ribs. His food was so enormous that I thought he would not be able to consume it all because of his relatively small frame. I was so wrong! He was able to eat the entirety of the meat *except the bone of course* with no problem! I wondered: Where the hell does my brother put all those food? He is so thin for god's sake?!? I am quite envious towards my brother on this department because he does not get fat even though he eats so much! He is totally unlike me, who eats a lot and gets fatter and fatter each time! Waaahhhh!!! Anyway, each of us totally enjoyed our meal. I was so stuffed that at such point, I refused to think about food already. Else, I would have puked because of gluttony. Hahaha! **************** After lunch, we went to Rustan's to find a gift for my Mom. The gift we were shopping for was my Dad's gift for my her. The catch: Dad hates shopping. He despises it so much that he does not buy a gift for anyone, independently. When there are special occassions like this, my Dad just asks the person to buy the gift on his/her own, with the money he shall provide. He says that in this manner, he will not be harassed with all the shopping commotion stuff, at the same time, the person gets the gift he/she truly likes. Such logic! My Mom wanted to buy a new perfume so we went to the fragrance section. Gawd! I did not realize how taxing it was to shop for a perfume! Aside from all the sales persons hounding you with their product by spraying here and there, one gets sensory overload from such experience. All of the famous and not-so-famous fragrance companies were there. Each of them competing against one another. All of them trying to out smell each other! Because of so many varieties of perfume which one needs to have a sniff of, one's olfactory sense tends to fail at some point. Nasal fatigue sets in and each scent seems to smell like everything else. Even coffee beans can only do so much. It was so hard, I tell you. My nose would have fallen off my face if I had not persuaded my Mom to choose from all the scents she had tested already. So who won? I had a bias for Dolce for the benefit of myself. But since we were shopping for my Mom, Versace took the victory. For me, It did not matter which perfume got the pick from my Mom. I just wanted to leave and let my olfactory nerves have some rest. I did not want my precious nose to die down on me. Haha!
I am finally back. I am done being a caveman.
Actually, I had been discharged from the hospital last Friday. But, it is only now that I am able to return online. Hahaha! Noobish me.
For now, I shall be posting this blog entry I wrote last Thursday, April 10, 2008. I brought my laptop with me at the hospital so I was able to squeeze some rantings during my pre-operative period.

Confinement
Thursday, April 10, 2008 8:57 AM It is the second day of my confinement here in the hospital. So far, the stay is all right except maybe for some booboos. Haha! Last night, my mom wanted to look for a bigger room. The room we got was kind of small. However, there was no other room available except the one given to us at the time of my admission. Later that night, my mom tried to inquire if there was another room for us to stay in. Luckily, there was. So, we immediately transferred to such room. *I went there through a wheel chair. You know, hospital protocols and all. It was fun a ride! It feels good to be a free rider sometimes. Haha!* However, when we got to the room it was not as good as we have expected. It was worse. Imagine, there was a column at the smack center of the room. It was such a big obstruction to the point that it made the room feel and look much smaller than it actually was. So, we just opted to go back to our previous room. It was very funny because it was like we were having a tour of the whole hospital. The best thing about it was that I was free riding on a wheel chair the whole time! Hahaha! **************** This morning, an IV line was inserted on my left arm. But after a few minutes upon its insertion, I noticed that there was extravasation of IV fluid (fluid accumulation outside the intravascular space i.e. tissue, muscle, fat, skin). The IV line was not properly placed within the vein. So my left arm became swollen (edematous). I asked my Mom to call the nurse to have my IV line checked. But it took a long time for her (nurse) to arrive so, being the "pakialamero" that I am, I closed/turned off the IV infusion myself. Hahaha! When she arrived, she removed the IV line and reinserted it on a different vein. Thank gawd! The next one was properly in place. And now, I am currently waiting for the person from the OR to pick me up. The operation will happen in about an hour from now. Hope everything will go smoothly. After that, I shall be tonsils-less. Hmmm… Haha! *Waaaahhh!!! I'm hungry! I haven't anything since 12 midnight! I'm not allowed to. Waaaahhhh! ***************

I have had about 8 hours of sleep but I am still sleepy. My yaya was trying to wake me up to eat lunch just awhile ago, and I was having a difficult time opening my droopy eyelids. It was as if I had barely an hour of sleep but in fact I had 8 solid hours of sleep already! My gawd! My body is indeed on its vacation mode. This means that for my body to function optimally, it has to receive at least 12 hours of sleep! So nice huh! **************** And Yes! I am a sloth. And I am the best sloth in bed. *Yuck! Corny... I don't think it is too coherent...* **************** My Mom wants me to accompany her to Ayala today. I guess, she is about to do her last minute christmas shopping there. Hmmmmm..... Should I accept her "invitation"? I feel too lazy to leave our house at the moment... I just want to lay about and watch TV all day... Truly a sloth huh? But... but.... but.... I want to eat too! I mean, I want to eat food bought from a restaurant or a fast food joint. Still an exhibition of my "slothiness"... Waaaahhhh!!!! It is so hard to choose! It is really hard to decide which one takes precedence over the other when food and sleep are the ones being compared! Add to it the fact that they are both physiological needs! Waaaaahhhh!!!! I want to sleep... but.... I want to eat as well... Sleep... Eat... Sleeeeeepppp.... Eeeaaaaattttt...... Sleeeeeeeeeeppppppppp.... Eeeeeaaaaatttttt.....
Nope! I do not have one. I just want to have one. Well, you see, I am "desiring" for a new cellphone for Christmas! I specifically would like to have an iPhone for this holiday season! I know. I know that the iPhone is so year 2007 for some countries but it is just about to be officially released here in the Philippines this coming year, so it is still relatively new in the country. So if anyone out there is kind enough to give me this gift for Christmas, I'd be truly truly truly happy! As a token of my appreciation to that kind soul who will give me this gift for Christmas, I would be willing to be your servant for about hmmmmm.... hmmmm.... a day perhaps. This is such a fair exchange! Imagine me, the bossy and self-centered Eian would be willing to do everything of your bidding without any complaints whatsoever in ONE-WHOLE-DAY! Such a bargain huh? I'll be waiting for the offers. Just take note that I want a REAL iPhone not the imitation one from China which has a very lousy interface. And remember, the only way to make the deal happen is once I receive the package. In short, it is D.O.D., Deal On Delivery! Haha! Yuck! It is like I am so desperate to have a new phone! Waaaahhhh!!!! If only I had much money to buy this thing on my own, I would be willing to do so. But then, when it comes to that department I always encounter a flat tire. And because I do not have enough money of my own to buy this thing, I'll have to coerce my parents to do so. IF THAT IS EVEN HUMANELY POSSIBLE. I mean, it will be like shooting for the moon with a rock thrown with your bare hands. Which if you are lucky enough, would ricochet back to you and hit you flat on the forehead. Which will be so nice for my innately hard skull! Well you see, my phone is relatively new. It is not even a year old with me. Also, it came about a little pricey when we bought it so it is really impossible for my parents to give me an iPhone! Waaaaahhhh!!! I guess, I'll just have to sulk until another occasion comes along for my request to be at least more feasible to be passed on to the department of budget and management of the Sy family. Waaaaahhhh!!! Sulk... Sulk... Sulk....
We went to Shangri-La mall in Mandaluyong yesterday. I was with my Mom and my two brothers. It was my first time to go to such place so I was quite excited on the things I shall see there. Anyway, we went there because my Mom had a lunch-out with her friends. However, Yong, Yeng and I did not join them. We ate in a different place so that we shall not be hindrances to whatever stuff they had to discuss over lunch. Besides, I don't want to sit on a dining chair listening on girly adult stuff I had no business with. Also, it was my Mom's time to have a quality bonding time with her friends to help her relax and unwind from the stresses her work gives her. After having lunch with my two brothers, we strolled around the mall. In fairness to it, it is quite a nice place to be at. It has the "Ayala mall" feel to it. I was even surprised to know that the place was quite bigger than I expected. I liked the place a lot but I would have loved it if they had a Dairy Queen concession stand there! Waaaahhh!!! Ice cream!!! After strolling around the mall, the three of us watched a movie in the mall's Shangri-La Cineplex. The movie ticket's prize is equivalent to that of Greenbelt's and Rockwell's. The movie house was great, by the way. And oh, I forgot to mention, we watched the movie "Enchanted." We were supposed to watch "Beowulf" but then it was not being shown at the Shangri-La Cineplex anymore. I was not really keen on watching such movie at first but then the movie turned out very enjoyable. The characters were funny especially the main female protagonist. Amy Adams, the actress who played such character was great in acting out a character that literally popped out of a fairy tale cartoon. Add to it the fact that she is so pretty! After watching the movie, we went to Star Mall, the shopping center just across EDSA from Shangri-La. We went there to play bowling. This was because there was this mini family bowling competition that my Mom's friends organized. The concept was to have a bonding time among the family members through bowling. All of the children were required to play. All of us three (Yong, Yeng and I) played. It was Yong's first time to play such sport but he got a higher score than I did! So noobish of me huh! Haha! I did not win any award, by the way. Such a loser of me! Haha! But my Mom won the highest pointer award for the adult female category! Go Ma!!! We're so proud of you!!! After the mini tournament, I decided to play with the bowling balls through cam whoring with them as props! They were so heavy! Gawd! Also, some of my friends and my little brother joined me on such activity with the shy Yong being the photographer! We were such silly people! Haha! I enjoyed such cam whoring activity with all of you! The pics were great! Haha! Until next time guys! Looking for another bowling session with all of you!
We went to Ayala Makati this day. It is the usual Sunday place for our family. Eventhough, there was a bomb explosion (Yes! It was a bomb. Don't get fooled by the methane gas leak cover up.) we still come and visit this place. We have been accustomed to the place already so it is very comfortable for us to move about on that area. Add to it the fact that there is a Dairy Queen stand at Glorietta! The reason for coming back in spite the bomb threat is such a no brainer! Haha! If I may add, I ate a brownie temptation blizzard about 3 hours ago! My gawd! The sensation on the taste buds is priceless! I think my Mom got irritated on me earlier. Because I told her this, "Anu ba yan, Ma? It's almost the end of November but then we still don't have a Christmas tree in our house!" She replied with glaring eyes, "Don't you realize how busy I am at the office these past few weeks?!?!" So there I was, speechless. No matter what happens, I always lose my ability to reason out when I see the angry look upon my Mom's face. In short, tiklop ako, as always. Haha! But I guess my Mom took my comment very seriously. After lunch, she immediately went to go look for christmas decorations. I was surprised because I thought she had no plans on doing so. What's even more surprising was that she was buying a totally new set of christmas decorations! As in! Even the christmas tree and all that comes with it! I thought to myself: "Ibang klase magalit ang nanay ko ngayon ah!" So we went to The Landmark Department store, the former company she worked at. Plenty of Christmas trees flanked the store. There were plenty of people too so it was quite a busy place. She used her connections so that there'll be less hassle on picking the design which will be used to decorate the christmas tree. She bought an eight feet tall tree and had it designed by the in-house designer of the place. In my mind: "Indeed my Mom is furious! Haha!" In fairness to the designer, he is quite good upon his craft. The christmas tree looked great! I was just happy because I did not have to go through the hustle bustle of the crowd for the first of the christmas shopping series, I presume, that we shall have this year. Note: I don't buy anything during these shopping sessions. I just function as a compass that carries shopping bags.
